What a wonderful article about a group of people who owned and operated another business in Arlington, Texas and Everett, Washington by the name of Diversafile Everett and left many companies and creditors without payment. These people in this article with their core values and principals chose to sell off and close these facilities without paying for products and services they procured. Many other small Certified Woman Owned Businesses, such as myself were not paid money owed to us and it created a financial hardship for us. Their honesty and integrity are certainly questionable when they do not honor their obligations and financial responsibilites.

We are on the forefront of the sustainable packaging movement and in conjunction with another MBE company, we have developed a line of eco freindly boxes for industry. Stories have appeared on this development in pack Expo.com, Pack World.com, Pulp and Paper, an numerous other places but please check out this recent story that appeared in Sustainable Is Good:

http://www.sustainableisgood.com/blog/2008/01/secondary-pac-1.html

Please let me know if you think this story has any merit in MBNUSA, perhaps in the Innovative Supplier or packaging sections.

Thank you for your consideration.

As one of PepsiCo's MBE suppliers, since 1984, I have to say the professionalism displayed by Jean, and all the staff at PepsiCo's Diversity Team make it a pleasure to work with.
One of the advantages we have is that Jean, and her staff have the ear of all the stakeholders at Frito, and all the PepsiCo divisions will allow us to bring cost saving ideas to them, and were able to sustain our relationship in a changing Global Marketplace.
